As part of the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Uzbekistan, the forum of Higher Education of Uzbekistan and France was held on November 4, 2023 at the French alliance in Tashkent. 

This forum has provided an opportunity for official conversation between a number of advanced French universities, including the Sorbonne University of North Paris, the campus France representative office, the agency of Francophonie universities, representatives of Erasmus international projects in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of higher education, science and innovation, as well as vice-rectors and responsible for international relations of many universities in the Republic. 

The forum was inaugurated by Mr. Laurent Oriol, adviser to the French Embassy on culture and cooperation, and Mr. Serge Bellini, attaché on educational issues. 

The international event was attended by Abdurahim Nasirov, vice-rector of relations for International Affairs of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University and G’ayrat Masharibov, senior lecturer of the Department of Theoretical Sciences of the French language of the University. 
Representatives of UzSWLU negotiated with representatives of French higher education institutions and educational-related organizations who visited the forum on the possibilities of cooperation. 

In particular, there was an official conversation with Vladimir Galabov, a representative of the Francophonie universities agency, responsible for management, and further issues of establishing relations between the University and the organization were discussed. 

In addition, an official conversation was conducted with Katrin Eyme, in charge of the Department of scientific research at the University of Paris-Sorbonne in the North, and she was invited to UzSWLU, and next week a production meeting was set for consideration of cooperation issues.

In the afternoon, an exhibition of higher education institutions in France and Uzbekistan was also organized. 

This process has also been interesting and meaningful to students interested in French language and education in France, including students of the Uzbekistan State World Langiages University’s Faculty of Romano-Germanic philology.
