Results of Higher Education Institutions’ Activities for 2025 and Prospective Plans for 2026 Discussed
On December 10, 2025, Hilola Umarova, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Education Reform, and Qongirotboy Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, reviewed the presentations of the rectors and vice-rectors of the National University of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent State Technical University, and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies regarding their 2025 results and plans for 2026.
During the discussion, issues such as further improving the educational process in 2026, accelerating digitalization, enhancing the quality of education and the capacity of teaching staff, increasing the efficiency of scientific research, and expanding the integration of science, education, and industry were addressed. Additionally, specific tasks were set to improve spiritual, educational, and upbringing activities with students, expand international cooperation, and attract investments.
