Samarkand — A Jewel of International Educational Cooperation

Today, the ancient and ever-youthful city of Samarkand once again takes center stage in the international academic and educational arena. Symbolically located along the historic Silk Road, it is hosting the 10th Forum of the Silk Road Universities Network (SUN).

The delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), including Rector Professor Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Otabek Yusupov, and Head of the International Rankings Department Bekzod Nishonaliyev, is actively participating in the forum.

In his speech, Professor Tuxtasinov emphasized that the key to success in education lies in openness, the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence elements, and international collaboration. He noted that UzSWLU is not only a hub for teaching languages and cultures, but also serves as a bridge for global scientific exchange.

As part of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between UzSWLU and the Canadian University in Dubai. This agreement aims to promote joint academic programs, collaborative research, and enhanced student and faculty exchange.

These efforts are intended to elevate UzSWLU’s international standing and present the modern face of Uzbek education to the world.

The forum in Samarkand marks a new chapter in international cooperation, strengthening bridges of friendship and progress in science and education.
