The development of scientific and practical clubs is being actively implemented at the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology

At the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, various scientific and practical clubs are being organized to enhance students’ knowledge and skills.

In particular, during sessions on “Literary Translation” and “Issues of Literary Translation,” students explored both theoretical and practical aspects of translation, including linguistic and cultural features through translating proverbs and riddles.

Additionally, in clubs such as “First Steps in Scientific Research,” “Publishing Articles in Academic Journals,” and within the subject “Language and Culture” on the topic “Stages of Writing a Scientific Article (Globalization and Language Culture),” students were provided with essential knowledge on conducting research, writing, and publishing academic papers.

At the seminar “Representation of Linguocultural Symbols in French and Uzbek Languages” and in the club “Problems of Equivalence in German-Uzbek Literary Translation,” key concepts such as translation theory, phraseology, and paremiology were thoroughly discussed.

Moreover, practical German language classes were conducted on topics such as “Personal Pronouns,” “haben” and “sein” in the Present Tense, as well as “Greetings” and “Where are you from?”, using interactive teaching methods.

These clubs and seminars contribute to the development of students’ creative, scientific, and practical potential, encouraging independent thinking. This process plays an important role in shaping highly qualified and competitive specialists for the future.
