Tashkent French Alliance Celebrated Its 10th Anniversary
On April 17, a grand ceremony was held at the Youth Creativity Palace to mark the 10th anniversary of the Tashkent French Alliance. The event was initiated by the director of the Alliance, Dilshod Akhmedov.
The event was attended by the Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Professor Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov. Also present at the celebration were the Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan, Ms. Aurélia Bouchez, Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Adkham Ikramov, Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education Sardor Rajabov, Chairman of the Tashkent French Alliance Shoazim Minovarov, renowned scholar Qodir Jo‘rayev, USUWL Vice-Rector for International Relations Abdurakhim Nosirov, as well as local Francophone guests and French language teachers.

Over the past ten years, the French Alliance has been teaching the French language to around 1,400 students of various ages annually. It also operates as a DELF and DALF international examination center, allowing many Uzbek students to officially certify their level of French.
In addition to its educational activities, the French Alliance serves as a hub for promoting French culture and values, and it plays a key role in supporting Uzbek students wishing to study in France through the Espace Campus France platform.
During the event, Rector Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov delivered a speech, warmly congratulated the French Alliance team on their anniversary, and presented a congratulatory message and commemorative gifts.
The ceremony concluded with a remarkable performance by renowned French pianist François Chaplin, who skillfully played works by Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, and Frédéric Chopin. The musical performance left a deep impression on the guests.
