The 8–9th Meeting of the Council of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University Was Held

On April 30, 2026, the regular 8–9th meeting of the Council of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University was held in Tashkent. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the university, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov.

The agenda included key areas of the university’s activities. In particular, the implementation of state documents, the handling of appeals from individuals and legal entities, the prevention of offenses and crimes among students, as well as the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work in combating religious extremism and terrorism were discussed.

Reports were also heard on the development of international cooperation, attraction of investment and grant funds, expansion of educational service exports, cooperation with parents, and the performance of faculties and departments for the first quarter of 2026.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation of measures aimed at increasing physical activity among the population and promoting sports.

Under the “Miscellaneous” section, issues such as financial expenditures, scientific research, approval of dissertation topics, recommendation of monographs for publication, official international trips, student competitions, and admission parameters were discussed.

In addition, proposals regarding the nomination of several professors for academic titles were considered and relevant decisions were adopted.

At the end of the meeting, decisions were made on all agenda items and priority tasks for the future were defined.
