2026-07-08 01-17 The First International Forum of Islamic Civilization Has Officially Begun
On July 7, the official opening ceremony of the prestigious First International Forum of Islamic Civilization: “The Path of Peace, Tolerance, and Enlightenment” was held in Tashkent.
The forum has brought together government officials, public figures, leaders of international organizations, distinguished scholars, religious leaders, and experts from more than 50 countries. It serves as an important platform for studying and promoting the rich scientific and spiritual heritage of Islamic civilization, strengthening interfaith dialogue, and advancing the ideals of peace, tolerance, and enlightenment.
The opening ceremony, held at the Center of Islamic Civilization, was attended by the delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University led by Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov.
Students of Uzbekistan State World Languages University also play an active role in the successful organization of the forum. Volunteer interpreters are providing professional language services for foreign delegations throughout the event. Their dedication, professionalism, and excellent preparation have been highly appreciated by both the forum organizers and international guests.
The international forum will continue until July 11 in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez. The program includes plenary sessions, international scientific conferences, presentations of books and innovative projects, cultural events, and visits to historical heritage sites.
