2026-08-28 12-28 The First Meeting of the Project “Translation of Alisher Navoi’s ‘Khamsa’ into English and Development of an Electronic Platform Based on a Parallel Corpus of the Epics” Was Held
Today, the first meeting of the 2026–2027 project “Translation of Alisher Navoi’s ‘Khamsa’ into English and Development of an Electronic Platform Based on a Parallel Corpus of the Epics” was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages.
The meeting was opened by Ilkhomjon Madaminovich Tukhtasinov, Rector of Uzbekistan State University of World Languages and Head of the project.
The meeting focused on the key tasks and priority areas of the project, as well as issues related to the effective organization of the planned activities.
As part of the project, it is planned to translate Alisher Navoi’s epics from “Khamsa” into English, develop an Uzbek-English parallel linguistic corpus based on these works, and create a modern electronic platform.
During the meeting, project participants shared their views and proposals regarding the planned activities and outlined the tasks for the next stages of the project.
Project members participated in the meeting both online and offline, sharing their views on the content, significance, and prospects of the project.
