Today the opening ceremony of a new educational building for 2,500 seats, built in the Uchtepa district of the capital for the faculties of English philology and oriental philology of the State University of World Languages of Uzbekistan, took place.

 It was attended by the head of the Department of Social Development of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov, teachers, students and representatives of the general public.

Currently, more than 22,000 students study at the university in 26 undergraduate and 19 master's programs in full-time, evening and correspondence courses. The university is the country's leading university in training personnel in linguistics. Currently, students are taught only 17 foreign languages
