The 9th General Assembly of the international network of Silk Road universities (SUN) was held in Naples, Italy from 12 to 14 November 2024. 

The event was attended by professor G.Rakhimov from the delegation of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, as well as a student of the translation faculty.

During the visit, the delegation of UzSWLU actively participated in the following number of events organized within the framework of the International Conference.
1. Concert of musical performances of different peoples organized on November 11 at the Conservatory of music of Naples, prepared by students of the University of Naples;
2. At the opening of the 9th General Assembly of the international network of Silk Road universities on November 12; 
3. The organizational meeting of the General Assembly, the scientific co-Conference of the international network of Silk Road universities and the ceremony of awarding the winners of the student essay and Photo Contest organized by SUN;
4. On November 13, a special tour and scientific conference organized by the University of Naples and dedicated to Matteo Ripa, founder of this higher education institution.

 

 

 

 

 

For reference: the international network of Silk Road universities (SUN) was established with the aim of carrying out various educational projects that restore the historical value of the ancient Silk Road, which has been a source of pride and pride for centuries as the homeland of major civilizations, covering more than 80 higher education organizations from most countries of the world today. Uzbekistan State World Languages University is a member of the General Council of this prestigious organization.

In particular, on November 14, the General Meeting and scientific conference of the General Assembly of the international network of Silk Road universities General Assamleya continued its work, and at the meeting a lecture dedicated to the rating of universities and its improvement was heard by Professor Rakhimov of UzSWLU. 

Members of the UzSWLU delegation also took an active part in the closing ceremony of the convention. 

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to organize the 2025 meeting of the international network of Silk Road universities in Uzbekistan.
