Today, the final of the “Minister’s Cup” field hockey tournament was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University
After the final match, an award ceremony was organized. The event was opened by the university rector, Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov, who spoke about the importance of the tournament.
Then, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, delivered a speech, emphasizing that field hockey had been included in the “Minister’s Cup” for the first time and that it represents an important step in developing sports, especially among female students. He also noted that there are plans to introduce this sport in all higher education institutions.
In addition, the minister announced that a trip would be organized for the finalist teams to gain international experience.
The Vice President of the Field Hockey Federation, Axmadulin Rinat Galimjanovich, also spoke, highlighting the role of the tournament in the development of youth sports and congratulating all participants.
At the end of the event, the winners and prize-winning teams were ceremonially awarded.
