Topical Issues of Russian Linguistics and Comparative Studies Discussed
On March 12, an international scientific and practical conference titled “Topical Issues of Russian Linguistics and Comparative Studies: Traditions and Innovations” was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

The prestigious event was organized in accordance with Order No. 11 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 16, 2026, “On approving the plan of international and national scientific and scientific-technical events for 2026”, as well as the relevant order of the university rector dated January 27, 2025.
The conference was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Do‘stmamat Sattorovich Qulmamatov, an academician of the International Turan Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Philology and Professor. The event was organized by the Faculty of Russian Philology and the Department of Russian Language and Teaching Methodology of the university.
The conference was also attended by Tatyana Vladimirovna Kortava, Vice-Rector of Moscow State University, Doctor of Philology, Professor and Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, who delivered a congratulatory address to the participants. Video messages from foreign scholars were also presented.

During the conference, topical scientific issues in the field of Russian linguistics and comparative studies were discussed. Particular attention was paid to expanding scientific cooperation, exchanging experience, and supporting young researchers.
