At Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, a creative and educational event dedicated to the works of French expert, poet, and professor Luc Dallarmellina was held under the initiative of the Department of Practical French Language. During the event, the author's poetic work "Nous les arbres" ("We are the trees") was presented through a theatrical performance by the students.

Opening the event, the Rector of the university, I.M. Tuxtasinov, expressed his pleasure at seeing young people deeply understand ecological issues and express them in French fluently, smoothly, and artistically. He also emphasized that the opportunity to work directly with foreign experts contributes to the further development of students' linguistic culture.

The event was attended by:

  • Head of the Department of Practical French Language, P. Nishonov,

  • Vice-President of the French Alliance in Tashkent, Adrian Ugelar,

  • Other representatives of the Alliance,

  • Professors and students.

The performance, led by Professor Luc Dallarmellina, was enriched with theatrical elements, where the “language of trees” expressed ecological realities from the perspective of the trees on five continents.

The following global issues were addressed in the work:

  • Asia — water scarcity and deforestation

  • Africa — climate change and soil degradation

  • North America — industrial impact and forest fires

  • South America — the loss of the Amazon forests

  • Europe — urbanization and the decline of trees

  • Australia — drought and fire risk

This artistic performance helped strengthen the connection between humans and nature, enhancing ecological awareness.

At the end of the event, Rector I.M. Tuxtasinov expressed gratitude to Professor Luc Dallarmellina for his contribution to the university's life and to the students' creative processes.

This meeting provided students with not only creative pleasure but also invaluable experience, deepening their ecological responsibility and skills in free thinking in a foreign language.
