Currently, the delegation of Uzbekistan and representatives of our university participating in the international conference being held in Washington paid a visit to the United States Department of State.

During the visit, the members of the delegation met with responsible officials of the Department of State and became closely acquainted with the main areas of its activity, as well as with the projects being implemented and planned in Uzbekistan. In the course of the discussion, issues related to the teaching of foreign languages, particularly English, the development of STEM disciplines, and the involvement of American specialists in the educational process were addressed.

For reference, the United States Department of State is the principal foreign policy agency of the United States, performing the functions of a ministry of foreign affairs. It is headed by the Secretary of State, and this position is considered the third highest-ranking office after the President and the Vice President.
