Uzbekistan State World Languages University Hosts the Official Opening Ceremony of the Turkey–Uzbekistan International Experts Exchange Program

On June 8, a delegation of 12 experts from the Republic of Türkiye, participating in the program entitled “In the Footsteps of the Ancient Word: Türkiye–Uzbekistan Language and Literature Experts Exchange Program,” was welcomed by representatives of Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

On June 10, the program’s main event—the official opening ceremony and a scientific-cultural meeting—was held at the university.

 

 

The event was opened by Abdurahim Nosirov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, who warmly welcomed the guests on behalf of the university community. In his speech, he emphasized that the historical bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Uzbekistan and Türkiye continue to find vivid expression in cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture.

The Vice-Rector also noted that the exchange program plays an important role in further strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries, studying best practices, expanding academic mobility for students and faculty members, and implementing new joint projects.

During the event, participants received detailed information about the university’s international activities, academic and research potential, advanced practices in foreign language teaching, and projects being implemented within the framework of international cooperation.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for experts from both countries to exchange views on foreign language teaching methodologies, academic mobility programs, student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and international grant projects. Prospective areas of cooperation and new initiatives were also discussed.

 

 

The program activities were supported by E. Moydinova, Head of the Second Foreign Language Department of the Faculty of English Language 3; Associate Professor Dj. Shabanov; Senior Lecturers D. Akhmedjanova, N. Abdurahimova, and Jennet Güler; Project Coordinator Muhammed İkbâl Güler; as well as students of the Faculty of Translation.

This international exchange program has created a solid foundation for further strengthening cooperation between Türkiye and Uzbekistan in the fields of education, science, and culture, promoting the exchange of experience, and developing promising joint projects.
