2026-07-14 09-31 UzSWLU Delegation Begins Visit to Spain under the Erasmus+ KA171 Project
As part of the ongoing development of international cooperation, the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) continues to expand its participation in Erasmus+ KA171 projects funded by the European Union.
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 project No. 2023-1-ES01-KA171-HED-000148842, implemented in cooperation with one of Spain's prestigious higher education institutions, the University of La Rioja (Universidad de La Rioja), a delegation led by the Rector of UzSWLU, I. Tukhtasinov, is taking part in an international seminar and training program held from 13 to 17 July 2026.
On the first day of the visit, the UzSWLU delegation was welcomed by Carmen Novo Urraca, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of La Rioja, and Ana Pajares Ciercoles, Head of the International Relations Office.
The delegation then held an official meeting with the Rector of the University of La Rioja. During the meeting, both sides discussed further strengthening bilateral cooperation and signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement provides for expanding collaboration in the fields of science and technology, languages and digital technologies, as well as the implementation of joint academic programs. The parties also held comprehensive discussions on future areas of cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the representatives exchanged commemorative gifts.
Following the meeting, the seminar and training program organized within the framework of the project continued. The Vice-Rector for International Relations and the Head of the International Relations Office introduced the participants to the activities of the University of La Rioja and provided detailed information about the events scheduled within the seminar program and their objectives.
