UzSWLU Launches Summer School Program for Italian Students

At the initiative of the Department of Italian Language Translation Theory and Practice of the Faculty of Translation Studies at Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), a Summer School program has been organized for students of the University of Milan for Modern Languages and Communication. The project aims to further strengthen the university’s international reputation and expand its international cooperation ties.

As part of the program, a delegation consisting of 18 students and 4 faculty members was warmly welcomed at Tashkent International Airport on May 30, 2026. On May 30–31, the guests took part in guided tours of Tashkent’s historical monuments, cultural sites, and other places of interest.

The Summer School program, which runs from May 30 to June 8, provides participants with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Uzbek language, culture, traditions, and national values. The program includes Uzbek language and culture classes, seminars and training sessions, cultural events, as well as visits to the historic cities of Samarkand and Bukhara.

This initiative serves to promote international academic cooperation, enhance students’ intercultural communication skills, and introduce Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage to young people from abroad.
