UzSWLU Rector Sends Off Students Heading to Italy with Best Wishes
On June 23, the Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, met with 12 students from the Faculty of Translation who are departing for Italy to participate in a one-month language and culture program. The program is supported by a grant from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
During the meaningful conversation, Rector Tuxtasinov highlighted that the recent official visit of the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic to Uzbekistan and his meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev have elevated bilateral cooperation in education, science, and culture to a new level.
He advised students to proudly represent Uzbekistan’s culture, customs, and traditions during their trip, and to promote the country’s image internationally through national cuisine and clothing. The rector also emphasized the importance of strictly following the internal rules of the University of Perugia, actively participating in a friendly environment, and strengthening Uzbekistan–Italy relations by building new friendships.
Dean of the Faculty of Translation, Ulugbek Yuldoshev, also expressed gratitude to the university administration for the opportunities being created for both students and faculty.
At the end of the meeting, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov wished the students a successful trip and fruitful learning experience, encouraging them to share their impressions upon return.
