UzSWLU Representatives Begin Visit to Spain Within the Framework of Erasmus+ KA171 Project

On the first day of their visit to Spain within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 project, the delegation of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) participated in an international seminar-training program.

From July 13 to 17, 2026, the delegation led by Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov, Rector of UzSWLU, is taking part in an international seminar-training and experience exchange program organized at the University of La Rioja (Universidad de La Rioja) in Logroño, Kingdom of Spain. The visit is being carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 project “2023-1-ES01-KA171-HED-000148842.”

The main objectives of the visit are to further develop strategic cooperation between UzSWLU and the University of La Rioja, expand academic mobility opportunities within the Erasmus+ program, strengthen research activities, launch joint educational programs, and bring faculty and student exchange initiatives to a new level.

On the first day of the visit, the UzSWLU delegation was warmly welcomed by Carmen Novo Urraca, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of La Rioja, and Ana Pajares Ciercoles, Head of the International Relations Office.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the activities implemented and results achieved within the Erasmus+ KA171 project. They also exchanged views on the current state of cooperation, the effectiveness of ongoing projects, and future priority areas.

The discussions focused on expanding academic mobility programs, enhancing faculty and student exchanges, implementing joint research projects, developing innovative educational initiatives, and jointly preparing new international grant projects.

On the first day of the seminar-training, participants received detailed information about the University of La Rioja’s international cooperation policy, successful Erasmus+ implementation practices, mechanisms for cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, and modern approaches to the internationalization of education.
