UZSWLU STUDENTS IN MUYNAK: ECOLOGICAL CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN

From April 1 to 5, 2026, the large-scale youth environmental campaign “Train to the Aral Sea” was launched in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. This initiative has been organized with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Tourism Development Committee, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

As part of this environmental campaign, along with students and official representatives of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Jasur Muxammadiyev, a teacher of the Department of Ecology and Green Resources, is also taking an active part. The participants arrived in Nukus and, starting today, began taking part in the activities held within the framework of the campaign. At present, they are in the Muynak area and are actively participating in environmental initiatives.

This project is aimed at raising environmental awareness among young people, strengthening attention to nature, and drawing public attention to the urgent issues of the Aral Sea region.

Today, on April 2, starting from 10:00 a.m., a sumalak festival, sports competitions (tug-of-war, football, chess, and checkers), exhibitions, KVN performances, the Zakovat intellectual game, kurash competitions, and a gala concert programme are being held at Karakalpak State University, Karakalpak Medical Institute, and the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies.
