Visit of Professor Nadya Wulff from the University of Education Freiburg (Germany) to Uzbekistan State World Languages University

On March 25, a meeting and negotiations were held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University as part of the visit of Professor Nadya Wulff from the University of Education Freiburg (Germany).

At the beginning of the visit, the guest visited the university’s rectorate building, where she became acquainted with the activities of UzSWLU, its academic programs, and international cooperation.

This was followed by an official meeting chaired by the Rector of the university, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation with the University of Education Freiburg, particularly the implementation of перспективе projects within the framework of the DAAD “Eastern Partnership Programme”.

During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the following areas:
— professional development of German language teachers;
— involvement of foreign specialists in UzSWLU;
— establishment of exchange programs for faculty members, young researchers, and students;
— internships for Freiburg students at UzSWLU;
— joint development of textbooks, teaching materials, and specialized dictionaries;
— translation of German literature into Uzbek;
— preparation of materials promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential;
— participation in seminars, trainings, conferences, and symposiums;
— organization of summer schools for students.

Representatives responsible for international cooperation and academic programs also took part in the meeting, exchanging views on the practical development of cooperation.

This visit marked an important step toward elevating academic cooperation between the two higher education institutions to a new level and expanding joint educational and research projects.
