Visit of the Vice Rector of the Indonesia University of Education to the Uzbekistan State World Languages University

On March 5, 2026, a meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with Prof. Dr. Agus Setiabudi, Vice Rector for Research, Public Relations, and International Cooperation of the Indonesia University of Education.

The guest was welcomed by the Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. The meeting was also attended by Vice Rector for International Cooperation Abduvali Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Khusanboy Yuldashev, leading specialist of the department Durdona Khodjabekova, and Dean of the First English Faculty Guli Ergasheva.

During the discussion, the parties addressed issues related to further development of cooperation between the two higher education institutions in the fields of education and research. In particular, they discussed attracting Indonesian language teachers to UzSWLU, providing textbooks and teaching materials on the Indonesian language with the support of the Embassy of Indonesia in Tashkent, and establishing an Indonesian Language Center at the university.

They also considered organizing professional development courses for English and Indonesian language teachers of UzSWLU, as well as launching joint training programs in cooperation with the Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Pedagogical Staff under the university.

In addition, the parties discussed prospects for allocating grants for students studying the Indonesian language at UzSWLU, allowing them to study in Indonesia for a short-term period or for one semester, as well as organizing a summer camp for Indonesian students at the university.

The sides exchanged views on future plans to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and develop relations in the fields of education and scientific research.
