In Tashkent, the "Safe and Healthy Capital" month continues with ongoing operational and preventive measures. In this regard, meetings with youth are being organized to raise awareness about the negative aspects of drug addiction, its harmful effects on health and mental well-being, and the legal consequences of engaging in drug-related activities.
One of these meetings was held by the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs at the student dormitory of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages. The event was attended by dormitory staff and students.
During the meeting, representatives of the Uchtepa District Department of Internal Affairs emphasized that one of the global problems facing society is drug addiction, and, as in the rest of the world, law enforcement officers in the capital tirelessly fight against the illegal trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances, and other harmful drugs. One of the most effective ways to combat this issue is by developing immunity against drug addiction. In this regard, it was highlighted that preventive work among young people should be strengthened. Additionally, the importance of not joining groups or channels involved in the illegal trade of drugs on the internet and reporting any related information to the Internal Affairs Department was emphasized. During the lively event, students received complete answers to their questions of interest.
Around 100 students participated in the event, and 100 flyers and brochures were distributed.
