Winners of the “Independence Cup” Honored

The “Independence Cup” sports competitions, organized among the faculty members and staff of Uzbekistan State University of World Languages in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, have concluded.

The winners and prize-winners in basketball and volleyball were determined as part of the competitions.

Women’s Volleyball:

1. Team of the Department for Work with the Socio-Psychological Environment;

2. Team of the Faculty of English Language No. 2;

3. Team of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology.

Men’s Basketball:

1. Team of the Faculty of English Language No. 2;

2. Team of the Faculty of English Language No. 1;

3. Team of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology.

An award ceremony was organized for the winners and prize-winners. Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of the university, attended the ceremony and solemnly presented diplomas and commemorative gifts to the winning teams.

The “Independence Cup” contributed to promoting a healthy lifestyle among the university community, increasing interest in sports, and strengthening team spirit and unity.
