2026-10-26 11-17 WINNERS OF THE “STUDENT THEATRE STUDIOS” COMPETITION ANNOUNCED
On 26 October, Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted the “Student Theatre Studios” competition dedicated to the themes “Say ‘NO’ to Drugs — Say ‘YES’ to Dreams!” and “Drug Addiction — A Devastating Threat to Life.”
Through their theatrical performances, students highlighted the negative impact of drug use on people’s lives and futures, encouraging young people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay away from harmful habits. The participants demonstrated creativity and impressive stage skills.
The winning teams received cash prizes presented by the university’s Rector, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov.
According to the competition results, the winners were as follows:
1st place — “Ko‘zmunchoq” Student Theatre Studio, Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology — a cash prize of UZS 9,000,000.
2nd place — “Zafaron” Student Theatre Studio, Faculty of English Language No. 1 — a cash prize of UZS 6,000,000.
3rd place — “Ibratxona” Student Theatre Studio, Faculty of English Philology — a cash prize of UZS 3,000,000.
The competition plays an important role in supporting students’ creative potential, fostering their interest in theatre, and promoting anti-drug awareness among young people.
