Protection and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems, assistance in their rational use, rational use of forests, combating desertification, stopping and reversing the erosion of land, stopping the process of biodiversity extinction.
The world is facing a three-way planetary crisis: climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity. The processes of deforestation, degradation of the Earth and the extinction of species are becoming more and more intense and pose a serious threat to the health of our planet and people.15-achieving the goal requires a radical change in our relationship with nature.
Currently, the Protected Natural Areas System includes 8 reserves, 2 natural and 1 National Park, 1 Biosphere Reserve, 3 Natural nurseries, 12 order reserves, 7 tabiyat monuments. The total area of protected natural areas, which ensure the sustainable preservation of biodiversity, is more than 5% of the country's territory.
On December 5, a seminar on “Rational use of terrestrial ecosystems” was organized with the participation of talented students under the leadership of Bahronova Maftuna Farhodovna and Berdieva Sitora Ashuralievna, teachers of the Department of English Applied Sciences No. 3 of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
The seminar was attended by professors and teachers of the third Faculty of English, teachers, talented students, professors and doctoral students of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
During the Seminar, there were talks about the rational use and preservation of terrestrial ecosystems, a number of works on this initiative, achievements and established cooperation with foreign countries.
At the end of the event, the staff and students who actively participated in the seminar were awarded the university leadership gratitude.
