On November 22, 2024, on the occasion of the "International day of development and enlightenment", a scientific-theoretical seminar on "The question of conceptualization and categorization in the science of cognitive semantics" was held at the Department of theoretical aspects of English Language-2 of the 2nd Faculty of English of UzSWLU.

On this day, which is celebrated every year in November, a significant role of Science in society and emerging scientific issues are usually discussed, taking into account the need for wide public participation. In connection with this day, special attention is paid to increasing the awareness of citizens about the achievements of science by closely connecting science with society. The seminar, held on the scale of the department, is based on the object and subject of the science of “cognitive semantics”, one of the areas of modern linguistics today. 

A special aspect of this seminar was the participation of young scientists as moderators and speakers – independent researchers and doctoral students of the department, who spoke with questions of their interest. The Seminar acted as an important scientific space for young scientists to exchange mutual experience on methods of conducting scientific research on topical topics in the field of “cognitive semantics” and their application, and passed in a rich manner of controversy.
