A Scientific-practical conference on “Integration of Theory and Practice in Journalism Education” was held

On April 16, a republican scientific-practical conference titled “Integration of Theory and Practice in Journalism Education” was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

 

 

The event was opened by the university rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of preparing specialists in journalism who are well-equipped both theoretically and practically.

The conference was moderated by professors of Uzbekistan State World Languages University – Doctor of Philological Sciences Klimintina Ismailova and Doctor of Philological Sciences Amrullo Karimov.

During the event, the following scientific presentations were delivered:

  • Prof. Khurshid Dustmamad – “Journalism: How Wide is the Gap Between Theory and Practice?”

  • Prof. Fayzulla Muminov – “The Role of Technology in Journalism Education and Issues of Its Application”

  • Nozima Vohidova – “The Need for Content Reflecting National Values”

  • Sevara Urinbayeva – “Public Relations and Mass Media: Basics, Challenges, and Legal Solutions”

  • Associate Professor Tohir Qahhor – “Key Features of Modern Turkish Journalism”

  • Gulshoda Khusniddinova – “The Formation of Caricature as a Journalistic Genre”

 

 

The conference brought together representatives from the country’s leading higher education institutions, mass media, research institutions, professors, young researchers, and talented students. More than 100 articles and theses were presented.

During the event, participants exchanged views on ensuring the integration of theory and practice in journalism education, discussed ways to improve modern media education, and outlined priority directions for the future.
