A student employment support center will be opened at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages in cooperation with Japan

On May 13, 2026, a meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with representatives of the Japanese company JBSD (Japan Business Skills Development). During the meeting, issues related to ensuring employment opportunities for students and graduates, providing them with jobs in Japan according to their specialties, and developing their professional skills were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Tomihiko Sato, head of the Uzbekistan branch of JBSD, Maxim Gongchanov, advisor to the company director, and other company representatives. From the university side, Rector Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology D. Djurayev, Head of the Department of Japanese Philology N. Khamidova, and Associate Professor M. Ibragimova participated in the event.

 

 

During the meeting, the guests were informed about the university’s activities and the work carried out in recent years to improve the quality of education and strengthen international cooperation. Tomihiko Sato highly praised the activities of the university and acknowledged its achievements in teaching the Japanese language and preparing students for the international labor market.

During the discussions, an initiative was proposed to establish a “Professional Education Center” at the university in cooperation with JBSD. Through this center, students and graduates are expected to be guided toward достойные job opportunities in Japan, while preparatory courses on Japanese business culture, professional communication, and workplace environment will also be organized.

The parties also discussed cooperation in placing students in Japanese companies according to their specialties, conducting individual consultations, organizing interviews with employers, and assisting with documentation procedures.

The discussion also covered expanding cooperation with companies in Tokyo and other regions of Japan, organizing specialized courses in tourism and hospitality, and developing a trilateral cooperation model among the university, students, and companies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation, establish a working group, and systematize the implementation of joint projects.

 

 

As emphasized during the meeting, this cooperation will create important opportunities for students and graduates of the university to enhance their competitiveness in the international labor market, strengthen their professional qualifications, and successfully pursue careers in Japan.
