An International Scientific-Practical Conference Held at UzSWLU
On October 13, the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature under the Faculty of English Philology No. 2 at Uzbekistan State World Languages University organized an international scientific-practical conference titled “Issues of Teaching the Uzbek Language as a State and Foreign Language in the Digitalization Era: Local and International Experience.”

The event was held both offline and online in accordance with the 2025 scientific events plan of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the university’s rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov. During the event, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovation, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor O. Yusupov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor A. Nasirov, as well as representatives from foreign higher educational institutions — Ozlem Kurt from North Macedonia, PhD, Associate Professor Sholpan Kudyarova from Kazakhstan, Professor Begam Qarayeva and Associate Professor Darya Zhigulskaya from the Russian Federation — delivered their presentations.
In addition, faculty members from the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature at UzSWLU — Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Ravshankhoja Rasulov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Khadicha Mukhitdinova, and other scholars shared their views on current issues in teaching Uzbek during digital transformation, modern pedagogical approaches, and international practices.

Within the framework of the conference, academic discussions were held on innovative language teaching methods, the global status of the Uzbek language, and the effective use of digital resources.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were awarded certificates, and scientific presentations were heard in sectional meetings, where valuable experiences were exchanged.
