Meeting Held with Students Participating in the “Georgian Language and Culture” Certificate Programme
Today, Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, met with university students who are travelling to Tbilisi, Georgia, to participate in the six-week “Georgian Language and Culture” certificate programme.
During the meeting, the students were briefed ahead of their trip. It was emphasized that they should actively participate in the programme, strictly comply with the internal rules and regulations of the foreign higher education institution, responsibly fulfil the established requirements, and represent the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with dignity throughout their stay abroad.
Rector Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov advised the students to make effective use of the opportunities to gain new knowledge and experience, become more familiar with the educational process at Tbilisi State University, and communicate with international students and faculty members. He also wished them success during their trip.
The programme has been organized based on an official letter received from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, with 10 students from the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages expected to participate.
The six-week certificate programme comprises a total of 80 hours.
As part of the programme, students will:
- participate in classes on the Georgian language and culture;
- take part in the traditional educational process at Tbilisi State University;
- take a final examination upon completion of the programme;
- visit Georgia’s cultural and historical sites and participate in cultural activities.
Tbilisi State University is expected to provide accommodation for the students and cover expenses related to museum entrance tickets, local transportation, and professional guide services.
At the end of the meeting, the Rector emphasized the importance of following safety rules during the trip, maintaining proper discipline, respecting the internal regulations of the foreign higher education institution, and actively participating in the programme. He wished the students a safe journey and every success.
