On February 18, an extended meeting of the department was held at the Research Institute of Translation Studies under the Faculty of Translation Studies
During the meeting, a discussion was conducted as the Leading Organization on a dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philological Sciences in the specialty 10.00.06 — Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies.

At the meeting, the dissertation by Aysuliu Asenbaevna Erejepova entitled “Linguocultural Features of Jewelry-Related Vocabulary in Turkic Languages (based on Uzbek, Karakalpak, Kazakh, and Turkmen languages)” was thoroughly reviewed. Within the framework of the research, the semantic, etymological, and linguocultural aspects of jewelry-related lexical units in Turkic languages were analyzed.
The discussion was attended by reviewers and the academic supervisor, who expressed their opinions and comments regarding the content and scholarly value of the research.

The scientific discussion was organized both in a traditional format and via the Zoom online platform. During the event, experts provided conclusions and recommendations concerning the relevance, scientific novelty, and practical significance of the dissertation.
At the end of the meeting, an appropriate decision was adopted regarding the submitted dissertation.
