On January 30, the 6th meeting of the Council of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages  took place. Important issues related to the university’s activities were discussed.

At the beginning, the Chairman of the UzSWLU Council, Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, provided information on the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Presidential decrees and resolutions, as well as ministerial directives, and the handling of applications from physical and legal persons.

Then, representatives of the university leadership provided various reports:

Financial and economic matters – Pro-Rector for Finance and Economics Maqsudjon Hamrayev presented a report on the work done in 2024.
International cooperation – Pro-Rector for International Relations Abdurahim Nasirov shared information about the university's relations with foreign institutions and their outcomes.
 Scientific research – The topics of research fellows admitted to the postgraduate institution were approved (Pro-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Otabek Yusupov).
 Educational process – Head of the Educational and Methodical Department Yusufjon Azzamov presented a report on the provision of textbooks and study guides at the university.
 Youth policy – The leader of the Youth Union's primary organization at UzSWLU, Sevinch Islomova, shared the results of the Youth Union’s activities during the 1st quarter of the 2024/2025 academic year.
 Digital education – The issue of developing a single platform for selecting dissertation topics for bachelor’s and master’s students was discussed (Head of the Digital Education Technologies Center Sobir Tuychiev).
 Library system – The university’s Information Resource Center's provision of educational literature and the activities of the electronic library were discussed (Director of the Information Resource Center Saida Kayumova).
 Education quality – The conclusion of the Disciplinary Commission regarding educational, scientific-methodical, and cultural-enlightenment work at the Faculty of English Language 1 was presented (Pro-Rector for Educational Affairs Muhammad Chutpulotov).
 Graduate monitoring – The results of monitoring the employment status and language proficiency of the 2023/2024 academic year graduates were presented.

Various other issues were also reviewed during the meeting, and relevant decisions were made.
