On September 12-17, a delegation from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University took part in events organized at the Shanghai and Beijing Foreign Languages Universities of the USSR.

The 4th Presidential Forum of the World Association of Foreign Language Universities was held in Shanghai. The second event, the Forum of Language and Civilization, was organized at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.
At these events, Uzdjtu Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Bakhram Kulmatov spoke on the topic “the role of foreign language universities in the process of cultural exchange and mutual learning.”
As part of the event, a dialogue took place with the heads of foreign language universities in Shanghai and Beijing. As a result, an agreement was reached that master's and doctoral students from these universities will undergo a one-year internship and work as teaching assistants at the Chinese language department, and now three of them have started teaching, another one is expected to arrive soon.
