2026-09-16 02-34 PRESENTATION OF NEW PUBLICATIONS HELD WITHIN THE “A TRACE IN THE HEART” SERIES
On September 16, a presentation of new publications prepared by the Uzbekistan Publishing and Printing Creative House within the “A Trace in the Heart” series was held at the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan.
At the opening of the event, A. Babaniyazov, Editor-in-Chief of the Uzbekistan Publishing and Printing Creative House, spoke about the history of the publishing house, its current activities, and the “A Trace in the Heart” series. Z. Isomiddinov, Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan and literary scholar, also shared his views.
The Director of the publishing house, Kh.A. Makhmudov, spoke about the publication of works of national and world literature, the promotion of Uzbek literature in foreign languages, and initiatives aimed at developing children's reading.
During the presentation of the publication “Temur Tuzuklari”, People’s Writer of Uzbekistan, Head of the Amir Temur Foundation, Professor Muhammad Ali, and writer Tolqin Hayit shared their views on the significance of the work in understanding the principles of governance, justice, responsibility, and constructive development.
The English-language edition of Oybek’s novel “Navoi” was also presented, with discussions focusing on making the work accessible to international readers.
The English-language edition of Pirimqul Qodirov’s novel “Starry Nights” was also presented. U. Yoldoshev, Dean of the Faculty of Translation at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor, spoke about the historical and spiritual significance of the novel, as well as the process of its translation and publication.
During the presentation of “One Thousand and One Nights”, Doctor of Philological Sciences Suvon Meli spoke about the work’s place in the literary traditions of the East.
The “Rainbow Readers” series, created for young readers, was also introduced. S. Juraeva, a teacher of English language and literature, spoke about its educational opportunities.
Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, also addressed the event, emphasizing the importance of reading, broadening young people's spiritual and intellectual horizons, translating works of national literature into foreign languages, and making them accessible to international readers.
The event was attended by professors, teachers and students of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, representatives of literature and culture, translators, creative professionals, and representatives of the publishing house.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were informed about the publishing house’s future creative plans and new projects. The meeting took place in the spirit of a meaningful creative dialogue bringing together literature, history, translation, and education.
