On February 3, 2026, an expanded meeting of the department was held at the Institute of Translation Studies Research under the Faculty of Translation Studies.

At the meeting, a dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philological Sciences under the specialty 10.00.06 — Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies was discussed.

The topic of the dissertation is “Communicative Features of Lexical Transformations in Literary Translation (Based on Literary Translations from English into Uzbek).”
The author of the dissertation is Sotiboldiyeva Gulcharos Murat qizi.
The academic supervisor is Yoldoshev Ulugbek Ravshanbekovich, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (DSc), Associate Professor.

The discussion was attended by reviewers Abdullayeva Shohida Norqulovna and Azzamov Yusuf Rajabboyevich, as well as expert Bahtiyarov Muxtorjon Yakubovich.
