The intensive training on "Principles of Continuous Professional Development for English Language Teachers" (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia), which began on January 9 at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, concluded on January 11.
During the program, foreign specialists, as well as leading teachers from Uzbekistan, shared their knowledge on new pedagogical approaches, innovative methodologies, and experiences aimed at professional development. 160 English language teachers actively participated in the training, strengthening their knowledge and skills.
The project was implemented in collaboration with the British Council, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, and the Tashkent State Pedagogical University. This training was an important step in improving the system of training English language teachers in Uzbekistan and aligning it with international educational standards.
Moreover, the project will continue in 2024-2025 with a series of initiatives aimed at further enhancing the professional development system for English language teachers. The successful completion of the training contributes to the strengthening of the education system in Uzbekistan.
