On 9 January, the intensive training on “Principles of continuous training of English Language teachers” (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia) began its work at UzSWLU.
The training was attended by the rector of UzSWLU, professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. As part of the program, foreign experts Thom Kiddle, Emma-Jayne Robinson, Lisa Mann, Jamilya Gulyamova and Saida Irgasheva shared their skills and experiences with the participants.
The British Council participated in a project organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of preschool and school education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan State University of world languages and The Tashkent State Pedagogical University in order to improve the skills of 160 English teachers.
Recall: the project is an important step towards further improving the system of training English teachers in Uzbekistan in 2024-2025, adapting to international standards and improving their effectiveness. This training, which occupies an important place in the development of the national education system, will last until January 11.
