On February 25, the next English language club session was organized at a high level at Secondary School No. 299 in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent city. The session was held with the participation of N. Egamberdiyeva, Professor of the Department of English Language Teaching Methodology at the Second Faculty of English of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, teacher F. Ashurova, and Yusupova Sevinch Bahromovna, a student of Group XT2-2214.

The session was devoted to the topic “Reading & Writing: Skimming, Scanning Types and Their Usage While Reading.” The lesson was conducted with a variable group of 10th-grade students and aimed at further strengthening their reading and writing competencies, as well as developing strategies appropriate to the B2 level.
During the lesson, the types of skimming and scanning reading strategies were explained in detail. Through practical exercises, students reinforced their ability to identify the main idea of a text, quickly locate specific information, and compose short written responses based on the reading material.
Interactive approaches and analytical tasks were applied throughout the lesson, contributing to the development of students’ independent thinking and quick-processing skills.
