UzSWLU Students Depart for Germany

Today, a preparatory meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University with third-year students of the Faculty of Translation, German language program.

The meeting was organized to prepare students for studying abroad and to explain important matters to consider during their stay.

 

 

University leadership and officials participated, including Rector I. Tuxtasinov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, and Dean of the Faculty of Translation U. Yoldoshev.

For reference:
Students will study from April 7 to July 30, 2026, at the Germersheim Translation Institute under the University of Mainz, Germany. Each student will receive a scholarship of €700 for airfare and €2,700 for the study period.

The students will be supervised by Professor Misha Gabovich, Head of the Russian-German Languages Department at the Germersheim Translation Institute.

They will reside in rented apartments in Germersheim. At Frankfurt International Airport, German students will welcome them and escort them to the institute.

 

 

During the meeting, students were provided with detailed guidance on the academic program, living conditions in Germany, safety rules, and other issues necessary for academic work.

The university rector wished the students success abroad and emphasized the importance of strictly following the internal rules of each country and educational institution. He also noted that students must represent the university positively through their knowledge and conduct.
