History of Faculty:
The Faculty of Oriental Philology was established in 2021. Currently, the faculty has 3 specialized departments and 2 non-core departments, which employ more than 74 professors and teachers.

Department of Theory and Practice of the Korean Language
Department of Theory and Practice of the Japanese Language
Department of Theory and Practice of the Chinese Language
Department of World Literature
Department of Uzbek language and literature.
Educational work:
The faculty has 3 specialized (Department of Theory and Practice of the Korean Language, Department of Theory and Practice of the Japanese Language, Department of Theory and Practice of the Chinese Language) and 2 interfaculty departments (Department of World Literature, Department of Uzbek Language and Literature). The faculty has 3 areas of education - Philology and language teaching (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). In total, 1262 students study at the faculty.
At the Department of Theory and Practice of the Korean Language, 10 teachers work in the main staff, one of them is 1 Doctor of Philosophy in Philological Sciences PhD.
The Department of Theory and Practice of the Japanese Language has 12 teachers, including 1 associate professor and 2 senior teachers.
The Department of Theory and Practice of the Chinese Language has 22 teachers, including 2 Doctors of Philosophy in Pedagogical Sciences PhD, and 2 senior teachers.
The Department of World Literature has 13 professors-teachers: 1 PhD, professor, 4 associate professors, 1 PhD senior lecturer, 2 senior lecturers and 5 lecturers.
The Department of Uzbek Language and Literature employs 20 people. Of these, 18 are in the main staff: 7 associate professors, candidates of science, 5 senior teachers, 6 trainees and 2 part-time teachers.
Plans for a credit mobility project for 2022 under the Erasmus program are currently being developed.
Scientific work:
Planned research work at specialized departments of the Faculty of Oriental Philology is carried out in the following priority areas:
1) Research methods for improving listening and speaking skills;
2) Work on methods to improve reading and writing skills;
3) Development of students' knowledge, skills and abilities in the lexical units of the Chinese language among students on the basis of a communicative approach;
4) Development of students' lexical richness through reading and writing skills;
5) Development of the ability to apply new approaches and methods in the educational process;
6) Methodical, scientific and practical support for students to obtain international language certificates (HSK, JLPT, TOPIK);
7) Learning methods of teaching Chinese, Korean, Japanese.
