Every year on September 21, the International Community celebrates International Peace Day.
It was declared by the General Assembly as the day of strengthening the ideals of peace between all countries and peoples, both nationally and internationally. But achieving genuine peace requires more than stopping the war. It is necessary to build a society with equal opportunities for all people. It involves creating a world that treats all people equally, regardless of race.
On this occasion, on September 20, a round table was organized by Dilfuza Rasulmuhamedova, senior teacher of the Department of World Literature of UzSWLU, on the topic “Peace is the greatest blessing for humanity”. The event, attended by students of English Philology, exchanged views on the fact that peace, harmony create a society based on respect and harmony, to stay away from various conflicts, strive to understand the opinion of others and respect for the rights of each person – is a solid foundation of peace.
During the event, students enriched the round table with heated definitions within the framework of the topic.
Each of us is responsible for maintaining peace. Through small actions-kindness, forgiveness and willingness to help-we can strengthen peace in our society. Because peace is not just the absence of war, but the necessary conditions for people to live in harmony with each other.
