Today, a literary and educational event was organized on the occasion of the 583rd anniversary of the birth of Mir Alisher Navoi in Adiblar Avenue in Tashkent.

The officials of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, professors and teachers of higher education institutions, state and public figures, poets, writers, literary experts, students and pupils, creative organizations and representatives of the general public took part in the event.

The event, which began under the sound of a military orchestra, was opened by the Chairperson of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, People's Writer of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Sayyid.

The rector of UzSWLU Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov and the university staff consisting of representatives of the management also took part at the event. The of the university together with the rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov laid flowers at the base of the statue of Mir Alisher Navoi and paid respect to Navoi.

The literary and educational event, organized in connection with the 583rd anniversary of Navoi's birth, was continued in front of the statues of poets and writers, as well as the statues of other the poets in Adiblar Avenue.
