One Student – One Project

On July 24, 2025, as part of the “Crucial 90 Days” initiative, the Head of the Department for Commercialization of Scientific and Innovative Developments, F. Abdullayeva, conducted another workshop session within the framework of the “One Student – One Project” acceleration program.

During the program, university students gained theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as legal foundations for creating a business plan, the concept and types of business plans, their main components, stages of implementation, and the basics of turning a business idea into a real startup.

The “One Student – One Project” session covered the following areas:

  • The concept, purpose, and objectives of a business plan;

  • Types of business models: B2C (Business-to-Customer), B2B (Business-to-Business), Freemium, Subscription, Marketplace;

  • Key components of a business plan: introduction, market analysis, marketing strategy, financial planning, risk and opportunity assessment;

  • Legal knowledge necessary for business planning: types of business entities (sole proprietorship, LLC), registration processes, taxation, licensing, contract law, and more;

  • Practical recommendations for correctly structuring each section and implementing the plan step by step.

In the practical part of the session, students actively participated by developing mini business plan projects. They tested their ability to draft plans based on their own business ideas and gained initial hands-on knowledge for turning them into real startups.
