Teachers at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages Conduct a Masterclass Based on Leading International Teaching Experience
On September 19 of this year, a masterclass was held at the English Language Faculty No. 2, organized by Zebuniso Ramazonova, Senior Lecturer of the English Language Teaching Methodology Department No. 2, and Feruza Mahmanazarova, Senior Lecturer of the Theoretical Aspects of English Language Department No. 2.
During the event, they shared their knowledge, experience, and skills gained from professional development courses at the renowned Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE) in the UK with professors and students.
The main goal of the masterclass was to deeply analyze advanced methods used in effective English language teaching, modern interactive approaches in the classroom, strategies for developing language skills, and criteria for their assessment.
Participants shared their views on methodological tools applicable in teaching. Experiences and knowledge from the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) course offered by the University of Cambridge were exchanged, and new ideas and methods for future implementation were discussed.
The masterclass generated significant interest among both faculty members and students due to its scientific and practical value, innovative approaches, and modern teaching techniques.
At the end of the session, participants acknowledged that the masterclass, based on experience gained at NILE and the CELTA course at the University of Cambridge, plays an important role in enhancing the effectiveness of English language teaching.
