A Seminar Was Organized for Volunteer Translators

On May 12, a seminar was organized for volunteer translators from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, who were engaged to participate in the international forum entitled “Social and Legal Protection of Labor Migrants and Their Family Members,” which will be held in Tashkent on May 18–19 of this year.

The event was opened with an introductory speech by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs M. Alisher Qodirov, a responsible officer of the Department for Providing Social and Legal Assistance to Migrants Abroad under the Migration Agency of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, provided information about the agency’s activities and stressed that the forum is being organized at the governmental level, requiring a high degree of responsibility from volunteer translators.

In addition, X.
