On April 24, 2024, the Department of Uzbek language and literature of the UzSWLU organized an international conference on “Issues of teaching Uzbek as a state language and a foreign language: domestic and foreign experience during the period of digitization”. 

The following issues were discussed at the conference, which was held jointly with the Uzbekistan State World Languages University and M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow State Linguistic University, Altai State University, Kazan federal University, Patrisa Lumumba Russian Peoples' Friendship University, Indiana University in the United States, Dokkyo University of Japan, Beijing Foreign Language University, Italy L.Bakkoni commercial University, Milan State University, Ankara University, Turkey, Istanbul University, Bartın University, Nevşehir University, Kazakh National University named after Al Farabi, the cooperation of the South Kazakhstan University named after Mukhtar Avezov, the Kokshetau university named after Chauhan Valikhanov, the International Kazakh-Turkish university named after Khoja Ahmad Yassavi, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the secondary schools of the Russian Federation:

1.  Problems of teaching the Uzbek language in the philological and non-philological higher education institutions of the Republic.
2.  Urgent problems and prospects for teaching Uzbek as a state language and a foreign language. 
3.  Specific aspects of teaching language and literature during the period of digitization.
4.  Issues of maintaining the purity of the state language and raising the culture of speech.  
5. The commonality of literature, culture and art in language education.
