Official Statement

In recent days, a number of unfounded reports related to the activities of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages have been circulating in certain online publications and social media platforms. In particular, inaccurate information and claims contradicting the facts have been made regarding the university administration and the tutoring system.

These reports are aimed at creating various rumors and misconceptions among the public, and they have no connection with the actual truth. It is important to emphasize that the organization of tutors’ activities, the protection of their labor rights, and the system of working with students at the university are all carried out in strict accordance with current legislation and established procedures. The claims being circulated are completely untrue.

First and foremost, no tutor has been officially dismissed. All job positions have been preserved, and their labor rights are guaranteed. The information circulating on social media about “mass dismissals” is false.

Secondly, tutoring activities at the university are organized based on the Regulation “On Improving the Effectiveness of Spiritual and Educational Work in the Higher Education System,” approved by Order No. 412 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 30, 2021.

Thirdly, the evaluation of tutors' performance is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation, objective monitoring, and clear performance indicators. In some cases, it was found that tutors had not fully carried out their duties in working with students. For this reason, a rotation system is being introduced. This system is aimed at promoting experience exchange among tutors across faculties, increasing work efficiency, and introducing new approaches.

Moreover, the university’s activities are fully based on the requirements of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

• According to Article 111, an employment contract cannot be changed to a less favorable form for the employee without their consent.
• According to Article 112, fixed-term employment contracts must be concluded on a legal basis with full guarantees of employee rights.

The university operates in an open and transparent manner and firmly rejects such baseless information. The rights of students and staff are fully guaranteed by law.
