On January 22th, the delegation of UzSWLU, which is in Finland, visited the country's HELSINKI University. During the visit, the delegation became aware of a part of its 400-year history, the largest university in Finland with 11 faculties   engaged with nearly 40,000 students and 8,100 staff members, and the activities of the language center.

Also, the language center's open platform for teaching foreign languages was introduced, and members of the delegation were skillfully presented a short 3-minute Finnish language course. Within the framework of the visit, in cooperation with the leadership of the language center at the University, it was agreed to establish partnership in the future implementation of the Finnish and Swedish language teaching system at UzSWLU and the international Nordic University.

For information: as a trilingual (3-language) university, Finnish is taught as a mother tongue, Swedish as a second language, and English as a compulsory language in 33 bachelor's courses and non-philological stages of the master's degree based on the Tvex program. In total, 17 foreign languages are taught at the center, and all languages in the CEFR pan-European system are perfectly mastered by students.
