Part Two: Joint Educational Programs and Opportunities
Next, the parties discussed the implementation of joint educational programs. Jeonbuk National University noted that it currently runs 3+1 and 2+2 programs in several countries and expressed confidence that introducing a 3+3 joint educational program with UzSWLU would yield positive results.
According to this program, students study for 3 years in the bachelor’s degree program at UzSWLU and 1 year at Jeonbuk University. Students who successfully complete their bachelor’s degree will have the opportunity to study for 2 additional years in the master’s program at Jeonbuk University. Depending on their academic performance, students may also receive scholarships.
One of the advantages of this program is that students can change their major during their studies and receive education not only in languages but also in fields such as economics, management, and information technology, thereby earning two diplomas. Graduates of the program can choose to return to Uzbekistan as specialists or start working in Korea or other countries within partner organizations and companies.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a memorandum and a student exchange agreement on the agreed matters. Ms. Cho requested that the list of 50 students be sent by the end of October.
Guests were presented with commemorative gifts and escorted to the Faculty of Oriental Philology building on Zakovat Street to familiarize themselves closely with the faculty’s activities.
